Ingredients
- 2 cups plus 2 TB unsifted bleached all purpose flour (Gold Medal)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 12 TB (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg plus 1 egg yolk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 ounces of white chocolate, coursely chopped
- 3 1/2 ounces coursely chopped macademia nuts
Directions
- Heat oven to 325 degrees
- In a medium bowl whisk together flour, salt and baking soda; set aside
- Beat together butter and sugars in a large bowl until blended.
- Mix in egg, additional yolk and vanilla
- Add dry ingredients and mix until combined. Stir in white chocolate and macademia nuts
- Line two cookie sheets with parchment. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto sheets 2 1/2 inches apart
- Place in oven and cook for 13-15 minutes; Reverse cookie sheets 1/2 way through baking. Bake cookies until light golden brown and outer edges start to harden but centers remain soft
- Makes appoximately 3 dozen cookies
